What is Heat Pump Dryer?
A device that transfers heat from a colder area (ambient temperature) to a hotter area (drying chamber) by using mechanical energy, as in a refrigerator.
How it works?
Heat pump dryer is use of reverse Carnot principle .With free air to absorb heat and transfer it to the drying chamber, drying room temperature to achieve improved, with the appropriate humidity and dehumidification equipment to achieve dry materials. heat pump dryer Compressor - heat exchangers - Chokes - heat sink (outside the machine) - Compressor and other devices constitute a refrigerant cycle system. Under the action of the compressor in the refrigerant circulating in the system flow, it is done in the gaseous booster compressor heating process (temperature up to 100 ºC), releasing it into the machine dry in room temperature air heated by the heat, while they have been and converted to liquid cooling flow, when it runs out machines, liquid absorbs heat quickly evaporates once again transformed into a gaseous state, while the temperature dropped to minus 20 ºC-30 ºC, then the air around the heat sink will continuously transferring heat to the refrigerant. Phase 1 First, preheat the drying cabinet to 35-40°C, put fresh honeysuckle in the cabinet and then hold the temperature at 40°C for 4-6 hours while removal of moisture is enhanced. |
Phase 2 Raise the temperature in the cabinet from 41 to 48°C gradually within 5-7 hours. Make it sure that the temperature is no higher than 50°C while removal of moisture is enhanced at the same speed. After 9-13 hours of low and medium-intensive drying and strong removal of moisture, honeysuckle becomes dried half. |
Phase 3 Remain 50-54°C in the cabinet for 2-4 hours while slowing down the removal of moisture to help raise the temperature. After Phase III, 80% of water in honeysuckle is removed. |
Phase 4 The temperature shall be 55-65°C in the drying cabinet, and no higher than 70°C for 2-4 hours, while removal of moisture shall be slowed down properly. With the procedure, halt the dryer according to the color of honeysuckle. |
1. Moisture content in fresh cordyceps flower is up to 78%. Set the temperature at 35°C to dry the cordyceps flower for 3-4 hours to remove some water.

2. Raise the temperature to 45°C to dry the cordyceps flower with 65% moisture content for 5 hours. After that, the moisture content is reduced down to 30%. The cordyceps flower looks dry.

3. Raise the temperature to 55°C and dry the cordyceps flower for 3 hours until they can be crumbed to pieces, and then halt the dryer to pack up the dried product for storage.
